First Day at College
到校的前几天
Arrive at Dublin Airport (到达都柏林机场)
Please proceed to the immigration desks and present the original copy (NOT A PHOTOCOPY) of your School of Health and Social Care Letter of Offer along with your passport showing that you have been issued with an Irish Study Visa prior to departure of Ireland.
你在到达机场时, 请到移民局的专柜提交你的护照和正本的入学通知书.
A one-month temporary Visa will be issued to you immediately. You are required to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (the GNIB) before you can be issued with a visa to cover your full period of study.
移民局会在你的护照上颁发一个1个月的短期签证. 并要求你在一个指定的时期(通常一个月内)到移民局的总部办理和你学习时间长短一致的签证.
School of Health and Social Care representative will be waiting for you just outside the Dublin airport arrivals/customs doorway. They will carry a large “School of Health and Social Care ” Sign for easy recognition. The School of Health and Social Care representative will arrange your safe transfer to your host family.

Opening a Bank Account in Ireland (在爱尔兰银行开户)
You must have a bank account with sufficient funds to cover your living costs in Ireland in order to register with the GNIB. The School will advise you on which bank to approach. At the bank you should fill out an application to open a personal bank account.
You will need to take the following documents with you to the bank:
- Your Passport
- The Letter addressed to the bank from the School
Please ask the bank to issue you with a bank statement as soon as possible to enable you to register with the GNIB.

Register with the Police (GNIB)(在移民局注册)
All international students are required to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (the GNIB) within one month of entering Ireland. When you do successfully register with the GNIB, you will be issued with a visa covering the enter period of your study programme. Soon after you receive bank statement you should visit the Immigration Office, which is located on Burgh Quay in Dublin City Center. You will need take the following documents with you:
- Your passport
- The letter from the School addressed to the GNIB
- Your bank statement
The GNIB will issue you with your Certificate of Registration with the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. This is in the form of a plastic card similar in size to a credit card.
所有的国际学生都要在移民局注册, 注册时你需要准备如下文件:
- 护照
- 学院至移民局的公函
- 你的银行帐单清单
移民局在当日审批通过后, 会颁发给你一个信用卡大小的身份证.
