FETAC Awards - 04 January 2012

FETAC are currently revising all their awards. The College supports this change as it will lead to clarity in the awards for both learners and employers. From December 2012 FETAC will only accept the new awards for accreditation. Beyond December 2012 Learners will be able to use a limited number of their old component certificates to go towards the new award. One significant change is that the Childcare Level 6 Award will now require 8 component certificates where currently it only requires 5. The College would advise learners who wish to obtain the Childcare Level 6 award to commence their award in April/May 2012 so they can be finished by December 2012. Otherwise learners will have to complete 8 component certificates.
