Welcome to the College of Progressive Education

The College of Progressive Education strives for excellence in meeting adult learners' educational needs through the provision of the most inclusive, innovative and supportive training methods. Our aim is to equip graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver professional care to the highest standard.

Jonathan G Murphy
Director

The College of Progressive Education specialises in the provision of a range of quality childcare and healthcare courses, which are delivered in a flexible manner to meet the neeeds of our learners and their employers. The majority of our courses are accredited by FETAC or other institutions, which are mapped to the National Framework of Qualifications.

Here on our website you can read about The College and about our numerous courses that range from introductory to diploma level.

Full-time courses are offered in Dublin on the UCD Blackrock Campus. Part-time courses are run in approximately forty centres throughout Ireland. We also provide on-site training for groups at venues of their own choosing.

Our distance learning and online training courses provide a flexible approach for those who prefer to study from home, and they are of course particularly suitable for our many overseas students.

If, when you have read about our courses, you have any questions please contact us by email, telephone or letter. We look forward to hearing from and helping you with your choice of course.

Academic Principal

Action Learning Sets

"Action learning is a continous process of learning and reflection, supported by colleagues, with an intention of getting things done. Through action learning individuals learn with and from each other by working on real problems and reflecting on their own experiences."

Ian McGill and Liz Beaty, 2001

The College also provides training in the use of action learning and can assist you with the setting up of an action learning set. For further information on this excellent management tool phone Jonathan on 014884301
